Day 01: … / Lima
Welcome to Peru!
Arrival, reception and transfer to the selected Hotel in the touristic district of Miraflores. Assistance with the check in. Overnight.
Day 02: Lima
Breakfast in the Hotel. City tour in Lima, you will visit the colonial and modern sides of the City, the Main Square where you will find the Cathedral, the Government Palace, the Municipality, then your continue to the Monastery of San Francisco and its famous Catacombs. In the modern side your will visit the districts of San Isidro and Miraflores where you will finish with an amazing view of the Pacific Ocean. Return to the Hotel and overnight.
Day 03: Lima – Cusco
Breakfast. Transfer to the airport to take the local flight to Cusco. Arrival, reception and transfer to the selected Hotel. Time at your leisure to acclimatized to the altitude. In the afternoon City tour in the Imperial City, visiting the hot spots as the cathedral and the Koricancha as well as the 4 nearby ruins: Kenko, Puca Pucara, Tambomachay and Sacsayhuaman. Return to the Hotel and overnight.
Day 04: Cusco – Aguas Calientes – Cusco
Breakfast. Transfer to the train station to take the train in Vistadome Service to Aguas Calientes, this ride takes about 3 hours, the arrival and transfer in a shuttle bus to the hidden citadel of the Incas, guided visit in Machu Picchu, after this visit return to Aguas Calientes, buffet lunch included. In the afternoon return to Cusco in the Vistadome Train, arrival in the station and transfer to the Hotel. Overnight.
Day 05: Cusco
Breakfast. Free day at your leisure. Overnight.
Day 06: Cusco - Puno
Breakfast. Transfer to the bus station to take the regular bus to Puno, along the road you will stop in some important places to visit the attactions as the traditional town of "Andahuaylillas", where we will visit a impressive Cathedral built on the colonial era, then at the famous "Inca Temple of Racchi", here our local guide will show us the most important sectors of Racchi and will explain about the Inca Empire. Racchi which is the only Inca place where visitors can see circular constructions, and walls of mud bricks, something you won't see anywhere else on your trip, Afterwards we will descend towards the picturesque "village of Sicuani", where we will enjoy a nice Buffet, which is served with native products of this region, we will continue our journey throughout the Andean plateau till we reach the highest point on this route, a freezing place called "La Raya" , surrounded by huge snow-capped mountains at 4335 meters high. At this point we will get off the bus for pictures and also, if you wish, to purchase some hand-made products of Alpaca or Vicuña wool, in one of the little shops nearby. At the end the Community of Pukara, where you will visit with a local guide the Pukara Museum, an interesting place that houses ancient monolith and human remains from the Pukara culture. Arrival in Puno, transfer to the Hotel and overnight.
Day 07: Puno
Breakfast. Early in the morning you will be picked up from your hotel by our local guide and then transfered to the harbor. We start our boat excursion of Lake Titicaca by visiting "The Uros Floating Islands", a small community that has lived on these reed Islands for decades. Then we continue the journey towards "Taquile Island" (1 hour aprox.), a traditional Quechua speaking community, full of ancient agricultural terraces and some ruins dating back to the pre-Inca times. Return to Puno and overnight.
Day 08: Puno – Juliaca - Lima
Breakfast, transfer to airport to take the local flight to Lima, Arrival, reception and transfer to the Hotel in miraflores. Assistance with the check in and free time at your leisure. Overnight.
Day 09: Lima
Breakfast. Transfer to the airport to take the international flight.
